Statement from Lindau Care Home following publication of CQC Report from Inspection on the 21st October 2025
The Registered Manager has challenged 4 inaccuracies and 1 opinion in the report, this has been ongoing since 06th November 2025. Sadly, the report had been published with the following inaccuracies:
Page 2/3 We completed this assessment to follow up on concerns received about the service
Lindau: On the 6/01/2026 CQC were emailed again expressing our ongoing concern as the Manager has no knowledge of any concerns or safeguarding’s raised against the home – no response the email of the 06/01/2026
Page 5/10 Fire drills had not always been simulated using reduced staffing (numbers associated with night shifts) to determine if staffing levels were adequate to meet people’s needs in an emergency
Lindau: All fire drills are carried out with night staff exactly the way CQC had written they should be carried out in the Factual Inaccuracies Report submitted by Lindau on the 19th December 2025
Page7/10 Staffing levels – ‘I don’t think there are enough staff in the mornings to meet people’s needs
Lindau: This is an opinion not factual
Page8/10 At the start of the assessment no staff had completed specific training relating to Learning Disability and Autism.
Lindau: All staff have completed Learning Disability training and have been doing it for years
Page 4/7 There was no dementia friendly signage on doors such as toilets, bathrooms and shower rooms
Lindau: Every communal toilet, bathroom and shower room do have dementia friendly signage, we agree there were no waymarking signs at the time of the inspection
The provider of the home has raised a formal complaint to CQC for the above inaccuracies on the report

REVIEWS & TESTIMONY
Since moving my Grandma into Lindau, our family have been so impressed by the level of care and attention given to her. I’ve also found this goes beyond just duty, but they truly care about her and our family too. We visit regularly, with my two year old daughter, and are always welcomed with open arms, which is so important for our close family. The staff, led by the wonderful Tascha, are warm, friendly and easy to talk to – my toddler loves them all too.
We have been impressed by the events and activities, and enjoy joining in with them. My Grandma had a recent hospital stay, due to an ongoing medical issue, and Lindau handled the situation perfectly. Since her return to Lindau, both her mental and physical state improved so rapidly, which has been incredible – she’s 91!
It was a big (and emotional) step moving our beloved Grandma into a care home, but we are so pleased to have found the perfect place for her. She’s very happy about it too!
